The R.B. Corcoran Company was incorporated in 1947 by Robert Corcoran, as an offshoot of Corcoran Supply of Brockton and Fall River, MA (later purchased by The Reardon Companies, Inc.). R.B. Corcoran had the distinction of being the first plumbing and heating supply house on Cape Cod and opened several more branches by 1981.

David Corcoran, Robert’s son and co-owner of the family business, successfully ran R.B. Corcoran’s daily operations as General Manager since coming on board in 1973.

2000

In January 2000

The Reardon Companies, Inc. and R.B. Corcoran Co. merged to create Supply New England, the largest heating and plumbing supply company in Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

In an ironic twist, Reardon-a third-generation family distribution business-and Corcoran-a second-generation family business-were both founded 55 years ago as offshoots of the original Corcoran Supply Company of Brockton. The merging of these two entities allowed for a natural expansion of each territory, featuring the best of each company’s products, services, and systems.

More importantly, the merger enabled Supply New England to cover a larger area, serve an expanded customer base, and better compete with other large regional wholesale distributors and even national chains such as Home Depot. Along with increased purchasing power and other financial efficiencies, these synergies helped to redefine our company as a formidable player in the marketplace.

Today

Supply New England has remained a unique customer service-oriented wholesale supplier in New England.
